After a short flight from Salt Lake to L.A., I began the real flight: the 14 hour flight from L.A. to Taipei, Taiwan. Luckily, China Airlines, a Taiwanese based airline, is quite well prepared. In front of me was a touch TV screen. I have traveled a lot while growing up, but I had never seen such an amazing contraption. The built-in TV had over 20 movies to watch and some really cool games. One allowed you to learn the basics of 20 languages from Swahili to French. I natually chose Thai, although my progress was quite slow since I didn't know anything about the language at all. Four movies, a game and three hours of sleep later, I arrived in Taiwan. Another three hour layover, coupled with a three hour plane ride made me a very weary traveler. I arrived in Bangkok at 1:00 am Friday morning, fully reminded of how ridiculously tiring long trips can be.
